Pierced and airbrushed floral pattern bowl with matching airbrushed gardening dibble. Bowl is turned from sycamore and dibble is turned from maple. Bowl is around 9" (23 cm) across. Dibble has marks every inch (25mm) to aid in planting bulbs. Bowl is finished with Minwax Wipe-on-poly, the dibble is finished with PolyWhey, a whey protein based finish made from byproducts of cheese making. Airbrushed a base of Transtint followed by Golden transparent airbrush colors.

Thanks, this is how I have done my finishing for a while now, wiping and brushing. I am planning to switch to spray finishes to see if I can do a better job of getting uniform gloss finishes. I'll probably try a few to see how they work for me. I got some EM6000 and have a spray gun on the way. Hopefully I'll be playing with scrap in a week and have something good ready to finish in a few weeks. I try to make one art piece every month.
