special guns tjhat will spray waterborne finishes better. Walcom has done it
with their Genesi lineup - all guns now have a H20 (waterborne) aircap
option. These aircaps are machined slightly different so they atomize

WALCOM GENESI SYSTEM
Walcom
Genesi is the result of 15 years of work by one of Italy's premier
industrial spray gun companies. The design of this series builds upon the
success of the GEO and HVLP series below, but with improved access to parts
and overall user maintenance. Gone are the large mono-block nozzles that
required the spanner wrench and there is no gasket between the nozzle and
gun body. The compound needle/air plunger does away with the separate air
valve behind the trigger. The cups feature a gasket for better seating and
the gun bodies are more ergonomic. For other differences click

We are introducing Genesi HTE, a unique
gun that delivers transfer efficiency of 65% but with higher tip pressure
(around 17psi). This insures excellent atomization, particularly with
waterborne finishes. In addition, Walcom has engineered a specially designed
aircap for waterbornes that incorporates different tolerances and machining.
Since waterborne usage is way ahead of the US in Europe, Walcom pays
particular attention to the special needs of these products by offering a
special aircap.

WALCOM SLIM
SYSTEM
The SLIM HVLP & HTE (High Transfer Efficiency) system from
Walcom incorporates all the same features as the GENESI system, but with a
slightly smaller body and atomizing head. This ergonomic gun is lighter
weight and a smaller footprint, making it less fatiguing to use and easier
to control. All wet parts are stainless steel
and all guns have a tested transfer efficiency of 80%. The HTE gun is
without a doubt one of the best guns I've ever used with waterborne products
and it's lower cost make it perfect for the hobbyist or homeowner. 1 year parts and labor warranty.
The SLIM air cap is multi- ported on
the horns (see photo left) to provide the extra atomization necessary for
difficult to atomize finishes. Combined with the smaller annular ports
around the center you can spray heavy, medium and thin viscosity finishes.
You can spray any paint and primer through this gun with the
proper setup.

has a boat-load of improvements. Over 80% transfer

ES/RV SERIES
The ES/RV is a very affordable spray gun
that's found favor with a lot of luthiers. Great for toning, shading, and
spraying thin to medium clears. Metal cup and all stainless steel wet parts
are used and guns have fan width and fluid control.
