Carbopol Ultrez 21 Carbopol is used extensively in conservation applications to make cleaning gels. We use it to make custom gel stains from TransTint. See the above link for a TDS. It’s very easy to use. Orasol Ciba® Orasol® Dyes are metal complex dyes used by many manufacturers to make NGR stains. They are very soluble in a wide variety of organic solvents including alcohols, ketones, esters and glycol ethers. Unlike many metal complex dyes, they are very bright and vivid.
