The 3M PPS Paint Preparation System is
a unique, closed paint system which eliminates the need for separate mixing
cups and filters. Instead, paint is mixed in a liner bag which marries to a
direct filter and is then mounted on the spray gun with a dedicated adapter.
As freshly filtered paint is dispensed, the liner bag collapses, allowing
the spray gun to function at any angle. Liner bag and filter are disposable,
leaving only the spray gun and adapter to be cleaned. 3M PPS is therefore a
cleaner, faster system, safe from outside contamination and offering
considerable time and solvent savings on gun and parts cleaning.

GRAVITY CUPS
 The
3M PPS Gravity cup system is available in Mini (6 oz.), Medium (25 oz.) and
Large (30 oz.) sizes. Once you have the correct adapter for your gun, you
can use all 3 sizes. The best feature of this system is that it allows the
gravity gun to be used at any angle, even upside down. Closed system is
great for waterbornes and minimizes clogging and spitting. The Mylar
inserts are great if you are mixing or diluting product before spraying,
such as dyes, thinned lacquers, 2 part finishes and paint. These three kits
below will get you started with everything you need!

The
3M PPS H/O 1 Quart cup system will attach to any gun with a pressurized air
outlet and a 3/8" fluid adapter (use 3M #16054 #18). If your gun does not
have a pressurized air outlet, order the QS-32SRA pressure regulator (see
photo left). Like the gravity system, the inner liner collapses as you use
the finish and eliminates the need for a metal pickup tube. This is
undoubtedly the best system for waterborne finishes, eliminating metal
contamination and corrosion issues. The sealed system also minimizes
clogging issues. It really does improve waterborne spraying! It also allows
you to use the gun at any angle, even upside down. |
